The Blonds. Phillipe Rolano and David Trujillo, also known as Phillipe and David Blond are couple both in their proffessional and personal life. They launched their brand only four years ago (they dropped the “e” because that’s how the masculine version is spelled—without an “e”) and in such a short time they've already dressed one of the sxiest bodies on the list of the famous fashion queens. They are famous for their corsetry. Each piece is handmade and one of the kind. I believe almost all them of will look familiar to you but you probably didn't know all of them are signed by The Blonds. They started making outfits for themselves to go out on the town and Patricia Field took notice and one day asked themto make stuff to put into the store.

Cuando entraron a la habitación de Rihana, estaba todo repleto de percheros llenos de ropa y temían que la cantante no iba a querer salir al escenario vestida en alguna de sus piezas. Era abrumador ver ropa de grandes diseñadores alrededor suyo y se sentían como "quienes somos nosotros... ella puede elegir de todo esto...". Pero luego cuando al salir del cuarto de baño se les acercó directamente, escogió una pieza y dijo que es más sxy que el nuevo Ferrari que le compró su chico, las sensaciones cambiaron. Phillipe sentía como una explosión por dentro pero intentaba mantener la calma. "Era terrible", dijo, "en lo único que era capaz de pensar era "ella ella ella"...
Phillipe commented thier experience when they first worked with Rihanna. "When we walked into her hotel room there was so many racks full of clothing and I was so nervous that she wouldn't go with one of our pieces. Like, who were we when she had all these huge designer labels all around the room. But then she came out of the bathroom in her robe and went right over to the table with our looks on them and picked one up and put it towards her waste and said. "Wow, this is hot, hotter than the new Ferrari my boo got me." I was like exploding inside but kept telling myself to keep cool. And it's terrible, but all I kept thinking was "ella ella ella"...
No me extraña Rihanna se quedó tan contenta como para volver a contar con los chicos (como ya seguramente viste en este y otros muchos blogs, Rihanna llevaba este "arma" durante los AMA Awards). Yo tampoco me lo pensaría dos veces. El corsé y collar de la colección de esta temporada, a pesar de es una pieza más para una actuación (y que también luce de maravilla en fotos para las revistas), es una pasada y no me importaría nada tenerla en mi armario (incluyendo un par de corsés más y un vestido que ahora te enseñaré). Mira los detalles...
No wonder Rihanna was so happy with them she repeated the experience (as you saw on this and many other blogs, Rihanna wore this "weapon" during AMA Awards). I wouldn't hesitate either. The corset and necklace she wore are both from The Blonds FW 2008 collection and despite the fact this piece can be used more for a performance or (as you'll see below) for photo shoots, rather than for "just going out", I find it breathtaking and I wouldn't mind having it in my closet (including a couple of corsets more and a fab dress I'm going to show you in a while). Their so far last project is the cooperation with Britney Spears on her new CD "Circus" booklet. The rumours say they'll be working on her upcoming tour costumes as well, so if this is true, I'll be back with new news about my new blond loves. And here comes Britney in a corset from this season collection...

En el especial "Apunta" de hoy viajaremos a Bélgica. Se le conoce por ser el diseñador de sombreros para la realeza Belga pero no solamente crea accesorios. Creó vestuario, decoraciones y dirigió varias obras de teatro pero no es lo único que hace. A la hora de crear su linea de decoración de interiores utiliza vidrio, cerámica, textíl, madera y bronce - entre otros - pero no solamente se dedica a eso. Con sus múltiples exposiciones fascinó a los visitantes de medio mundo. Ha creado sombreros para Kaat Tilley, Françoise Dury, Gérald Watelet, Guy Laroche, Lolita Lempicka y Yohji Yamamoto. Ultra creativo, brillante, polifacético y a pesar de sus éxitos con los pies firmes en el suelo. Sus iniciales son CC y aunque nada que ver con Coco Chanel, también se dedica a alta costura. Su nombre es Christophe Coppens. Y la que está promocionando su trabajo por todo el mundo es Roisin Murphy. Seguramente la has visto en alguno de sus sombreros y accesorios...
