Que Katy Perry es una de mis chicas favoritas, ya lo sabes. Que el año pasado me enamoré de este dúo rubio, también. Más o menos al mismo tiempo que ellos se enamoraron de Katy. Ya solo falta que nos encontremos personalmente. Todo es posible. El mundo es un pañuelo.

Esta era el última pieza que los dos diseñadores vanguardistas crearon para la cantautora. Ahora siéntate comodit@ para ponerte al día pues Katy sigue disfrutando como una enana luciendo los modelitos de The Blonds vaya donde vaya. Y no me extraña. Ya me repito, pero hacen un equipo perryfecto. En el escenario igual que en un plató de rodaje o sesión de fotos. Dentro y fuera de EEUU. Disfruta de la pasarela:

The fact that Katy Perry is one of my favourites is not a secret. Neither is a secret that last year I felt in love with this blond couple. More or less at the same time they felt in love with Katy. Now the only thing that misses in order to put "all the parts together" is that we meet each other. Everything is possible. After all, the world is not that big.

This was the last piece The Blonds have created for the singer. And Katy Perry really enjoys being Blond. She rocks their outfits in just about every occasion. Lucky her. Maybe I repeat myself but I find this team a perryfect match. On the stage same as on the set. In US or Europe. And now just relax and enjoy "the catwalk".

Por supuesto Katy no faltó en el gran día de Phillipe y David Blond en el "Baile de la Vida" hará un par de semanas en Viena, donde nadie menos que Patricia Field oficialmente presentó The Blonds al público Europeo. Su actuación ha sido uno de los elementos claves del show que Patricia junto con los chicos prepararon a medida para el evento. Un show de lo más espectacular, algo nunca visto en los años que llevan organizando el famosísimo Baile en Viena.

Of course Katy couldn't miss Phillipe's and David's Big Blond Day. No less than Patricia Field herself presented The Blonds exclusively to the European public. And Katy's performance was one of the key pieces in the show the Blond team tailor made for the Life Ball event. According to the insiders, the veritable world of wonder under the sea fashion show was beyond spectacular, something never seen before at the Life Ball.



Incluso la presentación del patrocinador MINI de BMW era de lo más original. Los chicos diseñaron el coche, por fuera y por dentro, inspirados en su amiga y musa Katy.

BMW MINI have been supporting the event since nine years ago and even the presentation of the car was done in a very unique way. The Blonds designed the Life Ball MINI 2009, that made its grand entrance before a 40,000-strong crowd, inspired by their friend and muse Katy.

¿Sabes quién...? * Guess who...?

Admito que las preguntas no han sido nada fáciles. Pero como entre otras cosas lo que me seguís pidiendo para este año es que comparta con vosotros más de aquellas coincidencias y déjà vu de l@s que aún no se habló, que no fueron "descubiert@s" antes pero que merecen ser mencionad@s, así que pensaba que este trío sería un buen comienzo. I admit the questions were not easy. 3. Y la última. La que estrenó el fabuloso corsé de la colección Otoño 2008 de The Blonds antes de Rihanna, fue Solange en su videoclip "I Decided".

Aunque se trata del mismo modelo, creo que el corsé de Solange es el mismo que se ha visto durante la presentación de la colección, y la versión de Rihanna, menos adornada, ha sido hecha a medida para la cantante.

Even though both corsets are the same style, I think Solange's is the one seen during the catwalk while Rihanna's a bit less adorned version was tailor made for the singer.

The Blonds. Phillipe Rolano y David Trujillo, también conocidos como Phillipe & David Blond, son pareja tanto en la vida profesional como en la vida personal. Lanzaron su marca hace solo cuatro años y en tan poco tiempo ya vistieron a unos de los cuerpos más sxy de la celebre platilla de fashion queens. Son famosos sobre todo por sus corsés. Cada pieza es única y hecha a mano. Y seguramente ya conoces la mayoría de ellas, aunque probablemente no sabías que están firmados por esta pareja rubia. Empezaron creando outfits para ellos para salir y un día Patricia Field se fijó y les pidió que hicieran algo para exponerlo en la tienda de ella.

The Blonds. Phillipe Rolano and David Trujillo, also known as Phillipe and David Blond are couple both in their proffessional and personal life. They launched their brand only four years ago (they dropped the “e” because that’s how the masculine version is spelled—without an “e”) and in such a short time they've already dressed one of the sxiest bodies on the list of the famous fashion queens. They are famous for their corsetry. Each piece is handmade and one of the kind. I believe almost all them of will look familiar to you but you probably didn't know all of them are signed by The Blonds. They started making outfits for themselves to go out on the town and Patricia Field took notice and one day asked themto make stuff to put into the store.

Alica Keys en los últimos BET Awards vestía uno de los tops de la colección Otoño/Invierno 2008.

El pedazo de corsé que llevaba Fergie en la campaña para M.A.C. y cuyos visuales salieron prácticamente en todas las revistas, también lo crearon Phillipe con David.

Si viste la actuación de Rihanna durante la ceremonía de Fashion Rocks, ya sabes quienes están detrás de este modelito (aquí tuve suerte pues encontré el boceto y la foto de la modelo Amelia Tkach ayudando a los diseñadores durante el proceso creativo).

If you saw Rihanna's performance during Fashion Rocks Ceremony, you know already who was behind this outfit (here I was lucky to find a sketch as well as this photo of the model Amelia Tkach helping The Blonds during the creative process).


Cuando entraron a la habitación de Rihana, estaba todo repleto de percheros llenos de ropa y temían que la cantante no iba a querer salir al escenario vestida en alguna de sus piezas. Era abrumador ver ropa de grandes diseñadores alrededor suyo y se sentían como "quienes somos nosotros... ella puede elegir de todo esto...". Pero luego cuando al salir del cuarto de baño se les acercó directamente, escogió una pieza y dijo que es más sxy que el nuevo Ferrari que le compró su chico, las sensaciones cambiaron. Phillipe sentía como una explosión por dentro pero intentaba mantener la calma. "Era terrible", dijo, "en lo único que era capaz de pensar era "ella ella ella"...

Phillipe commented thier experience when they first worked with Rihanna. "When we walked into her hotel room there was so many racks full of clothing and I was so nervous that she wouldn't go with one of our pieces. Like, who were we when she had all these huge designer labels all around the room. But then she came out of the bathroom in her robe and went right over to the table with our looks on them and picked one up and put it towards her waste and said. "Wow, this is hot, hotter than the new Ferrari my boo got me." I was like exploding inside but kept telling myself to keep cool. And it's terrible, but all I kept thinking was "ella ella ella"...



No me extraña Rihanna se quedó tan contenta como para volver a contar con los chicos (como ya seguramente viste en este y otros muchos blogs, Rihanna llevaba este "arma" durante los AMA Awards). Yo tampoco me lo pensaría dos veces. El corsé y collar de la colección de esta temporada, a pesar de es una pieza más para una actuación (y que también luce de maravilla en fotos para las revistas), es una pasada y no me importaría nada tenerla en mi armario (incluyendo un par de corsés más y un vestido que ahora te enseñaré). Mira los detalles...

No wonder Rihanna was so happy with them she repeated the experience (as you saw on this and many other blogs, Rihanna wore this "weapon" during AMA Awards). I wouldn't hesitate either. The corset and necklace she wore are both from The Blonds FW 2008 collection and despite the fact this piece can be used more for a performance or (as you'll see below) for photo shoots, rather than for "just going out", I find it breathtaking and I wouldn't mind having it in my closet (including a couple of corsets more and a fab dress I'm going to show you in a while). Look at all the spikes, chains and other detalis it has...

El de momento último proyecto de Phillipe y David es la cooperación con Britney Spears. Se rumorea que va más allá del booklet para su nuevo álbum "Circus", así que si es cierto, volveremos hablar sobre mi nuevos amores rubios. De momento Britney en un corsé de esta campaña...

Their so far last project is the cooperation with Britney Spears on her new CD "Circus" booklet. The rumours say they'll be working on her upcoming tour costumes as well, so if this is true, I'll be back with new news about my new blond loves. And here comes Britney in a corset from this season collection...
