Este finde por fin lo vi en la tele. Lo que más me encantó de todo el vestuario eran sus botas - sandalias Superlena de la marca LaRare con plataforma y unos taconazos de 14 centímetros, de la colección del último invierno. Las añado a mi colección virtual inmediatamente.

Finally saw it on TV this weekend. What I loved the most were her LaRare Superlena boot sandals with platform and 14cm heels, from the AW'08 collection. I'm including them to my virtual collection right away.

What a coincidence... Beyoncé & Lady Gaga in Thierry Mugler

Supongo que a estas alturas ya viste los últimos videos de Lady Gaga y Beyoncé. Dos trabajos muy diferentes con una cosa en común. Ambas lucieron una de las creaciones metálicas vintage de Thierry Mugler.

I believe you've already seen the latest Lady Gaga and Beyoncé videoclips. Two very different works with one thing in common. Both of them rocked one of the metallic vintage creations by Thierry Mugler.

El video de Lady Gaga "Paparazzi" está dirigido por Jonas Åkerlund. Su pareja, B. Åkerlund se acaba de convertir en la primera estilista personal de la cantante. Y por lo que he visto en la mini-película "Paparazzi", ha sido todo un acierto. Y aunque en el video se utilizaron varias prendas vintage del diseñador, el "robot" de Thierry Mugler, según dijo la estilista a la revista Anthem, era su gran sueño para Gaga.

Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" video is directed by Jonas Åkerlund. His wife, B. Åkerlund became the first official stylist of the singer.  And after seeing the mini movie "Paparazzi", for me this is a great match. Even though several vintage pieces from Thierry Mugler were used in the video, according to the Anthem Magazine, the very famous Thierry Mugler robot was B. Åkerlund's biggest dream for Gaga.

Con esta elección Lady Gaga se ha convertido en uno de los muchos cuerpos famosos y no tan famosos que han sido "adornados" con este famosísimo outfit metálico de Thierry Mugler.

With this choice Lady Gaga became one of the famous and not that famous bodies that have been "adorned" with this Thierry Mugler metallic outfit.

Esta obra de Thierry no es tan conocida, pero es una pasada. Incluso pensaba que iba a formar parte del vestuario de la gira. En todos estos años que llevo enamoradísima del trabajo de Thierry, solamente la volví a ver en un visual publicitario firmado por el fotógrafo Yves Lavallette (que fotografió ambos milagros metálicos de Thierry).

This Thierry's piece is not as famous as the other one, but I love it even more. I even hoped it would be included to the I am... tour wardrobe. In all these years I've been in love with Thierry's work, I just saw it once, on the advertising visual signed by Yves Lavallette (that photographed both metallic wonders by Thierry).

The true is I have never fell in love with Christian Dior Resort 2009 Cha Cha Sandals. Neither when I saw the pictures from the runway...

... ni tampoco una belleza como Sonam Kapoor pudo hacer nada para convencerme de lo contrario (la foto es de su editorial en la revista Verve Febrero 2009).

... nor the beautiful Sonam Kapoor could do anything to convince me later on in her editorial for Februrary issue of Verve magazine.

Y cuando ayer volví de viaje y vi que una de mis reinas del mundo de los zapatos - Beyoncé - los escogió para los BET Awards para completar su vestido de Balmain, me pregunté en que estuviera pensando ella y su equipo... Que alguien me explique, por favor, ¿qué hay de atractivo y sexy en unas sandalias con tacones escondidos detrás de esas cortinas de mostacillas? Dos cosas están claras: para gustos, colores (que si a todas nos gustara lo mismo, estaríamos todas vestidas igual y corriendo detrás del mismo hobre) ... y también que la que no arriesga, nunca se equivoca... pero Beyoncé, cari, ¿por qué me hiciste esto?

And when I came back from a business trip yesterday and saw what has one of my shoe queens -  Beyoncé - chosen to put on her feets for BET Awards, I was just asking myself what was her team and the star herself thinking... Can somebody please explain me what did they believed is so fierce about these heels hidden behind beaded fringe courtains? Two things are crystal clear: to each her own (if all of us like the same things we would all dress alike and run after the same man...) and if you don't risk, you never fail... but Beyoncé, honey, why did you do this to me? 

Si tuviera que elegir un zapato para ese vestido, además de volver a contar con los que ya tengo en mi colección, me probaría algunas de las joyitas de Nicholas Kirkwood, Gavin Douglas, Berny Demore, LaRare o Alexander Wang, entre otros, en estos colores, en verde azulado o en verde. ¿Y cuál sería tu elección?

If I had to chose some heels for above Balmain dress, I'd try (on top of those I have in my collection already), some jewels by Nicholas Kirkwood, Gavin Douglas, Berny Demore, LaRare or Alexander Wang, to name a few, to see which one suits the best. In below colours, in teal or green. And what would be your choice? What shoes would you like to try on with Beyoncé's dress?
