American Music Awards, la gran fiesta de música, tuvo lugar ayer a noche en el Teatro Nokia en Los Angeles. Muchos invitados de lujo, presentadores famosos, las estrellas más brillantes del mundo musical y modelitos que vamos a comentar ahoramismo.
American Music awards, the huge celebration of the music, took place yesterday night in Nokia Theatre in LA. A lot of VIPs, famous presenters, the most shining stars of the world of music and the outfits we're going to comment right now.
Carrie Underwood, vestida de Georges Chakra, se llevó dos premios - el mejor álbum country y la mejor cantante country. El tercero es un premio especial de T-mobile. El vestido blanco parece que lleva pétalos de rosas y, aunque ha sido criticado por algunos profesionales, yo creo que le va muy bien a Carrie. Es tan femenino y tan "tierno", como la cantante misma.
Carrie Underwood, dressed in Georges Chakra, got two awards - the best country album and the best country female singer. The third award is a special one from the T-mobile. The white dress looks like made of rose petals and, even though some experts don't like it, I see it very appropriate for Carrie. Is as feminine and as "tender" as the singer herself.
Fergie, se llevó el premio por la cantante favorita de pop/rock. Para la carpeta roja ha elegido un modelo de Dsquared2, en versión corta, para poder lucir ese par de piernazas que tiene. Y para la actuación lució un vestido súper mini gris-plateado-metalizado con cristales de Jenny Packham. También me parecen elecciones muy acertadas, teniendo en cuenta que Fergie es muy suya en cuanto a la forma de vestir.
Fergie won the best female pop/rock singer award. For the red carpet she has chosen a Dsquared2 dress, in a short version, to show the wonderful pair of legs she's got. And for the performance she wore a grey-silver-metallic super mini crystal Jenny Packham dress. Also two very well chosen outfits, having in mind Fergie is very peculiar when it comes to her fashion style.
Rihanna se llevó el premio por la mejor cantante soul/R&B. Por la carpeta roja caminó en un modelito de Armani Prive. Es una pieza muy atrevida. Y una vez más estoy desacuerdo con los que la criticaron por no saber llevarlo. Me encanta. Tanto su peinado, como el vestido, como sus toques personales. Para su actuación eligió un modelo largo de Zac Posen en un tono dorado. Aquí el único comentario que tengo es que aparenta más edad de la que realmente tiene, y que quizás debería haber elegido algo menos diva y más juvenil.
Rihanna took home the best soul/R&B female singer award. She walked through the red carped in an Armani Prive creation. This piece is very bold. And again, I don't agree with the professionals that criticized her. I love it. Both her hair-do, and the dress, as well as the personal touch she gave to the whole thing. For the performance she chosen a golden gown by Zac Posen. Original, interesting, but makes her look too serious and older, maybe she should have chosen something less diva like and more suitable to her age.

Beyoncé, en un vestido muy sxy, tipo sirena, ha ganado el premio de la mejor artista internacional. Es un gran acontecimiento para Bee, teniendo en cuenta que es la primera mujer que recibe este premio.
Beyoncé, in a very sxy sirena like gown, won the best international artist award. It certainly was a huge day for Bee, having in mind she is the first woman that won this award.
Para la actuación Beyoncé ha elegido un modelito sport chic. Perfectamente conjuntada (las sandalias son de Balenciaga), ha hecho (junto a Sugarland) una versión country de su canción "Irreplaceable". No tengo palabras, ¡eso, tienes que verlo!
For the performance she chosen spot chic style. Perfectly matching pieces - jacket, Balenciaga sandals and earrings. Love it. She did a very interesting country version of her "Irreplaceable" hit. It was wonderful, you have to see it!
Su hermana, Solange, una de las presentadoras, optó por un modelo de Giambattista Valli, en un color muy parecido. Según mi opinión debería haber elegido otro vestido u otro color. Para mí este vestido requería unos complementos muy vistosos, pero sutiles al mismo tiempo (como el cinturón de Giambattista Valli que ha sido utilizado en la pasarela) y no un cinturón elástico que, para mí "mató" el vestido y un peinado a lo "salvaje".
Her sister, Solange, one of the presenters, chosen this Giambattista Valli dress, in a very similar colour. For me she should have chosen either other dress or another colour. In my opinion this dress requires very visible but at the same time very fine accessories (like the original Giambattista Valli belt used for the catwalk) and not an elastic belt, that for me, "killed" the dress, and a wild hair-do.
Alicia Keys ha sido una de las artistas invitadas. Para la carpeta roja eligió un vestido de Giorgio Armani. Muy bonito pero también un poco serio. Me encanta cuando luce modelos originales y atrevidos, como el que lució en el evento de Fashion Rocks.
Alicia Keys was one of the invited artists. For the red carpet she picked-up this Giorgio Armani dress. Very nice but again, quite serious. I love her sporting original and bold styles like the one she wore for the Fashion Rocks event.
