Victoria Beckham: Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 campaign, part 1.

¿Preparad@?
The big moment of the Victoria Beckham for Marc Jacobs campaign revelation has come. Photographer: Juergen Teller. Ready?

According to WWS, Marc told: "There was a lot of discussion about Victoria being in our ads and tons of blogs on the Internet about 'Should she or shouldn't she?,' 'What's going on with Marc Jacobs?,' and 'Has he lost his mind?'," Jacobs explained. "We thought the funniest thing would be to show the Victoria Beckham ads that don't show Victoria Beckham, but just to see those legs coming out of the bag."

"The images are humorous and ironic," Beckham said. "You can't be afraid to experiment with fashion, especially when working with Marc and Juergen... Marc is a genius, I completely trusted his vision and the opportunity to work with Juergen again after so many years was a privilege."

On the first picture, the controversial inverted heels. On the next one Victoria in one of the very few wearable pieces of the collection. And on the third one wearing the same dress she had chosen for the Victoria's Secret Show.

"Truth be told, I love them all," she said. "If I have to pick favorites, it's the package series: me coming out of the box in the gray knit dress shot with the hat, as well as the image of the oversize shopping bag. Certainly, if you can't get locked inside a Marc Jacobs store, then trapped inside a Marc bag has got to be the next best thing."

When I saw the fisrt image yesterday night, I was thinking is just a fake piece, thing that already happened to several fashion brands in the past, and that's why I didn't share it with you instantly. The other two I saw them early in the morning. If the objectives of the campaign were being different and controversial, they achieved it. Everybody will notice and talk. In favour, against, but we'll all talk. If the third objective was humoros, if I look too serious to you, is because the images don't make me laugh, nor smile (and I'm not smiling on the inside like Miranda either). There are still some pieces to come, we didn't see it all so far. What I'm sure about is that this collection I neither understand it, nor like it (sometimes there are things you don't understand but you can still like or love them, but for me this is not the case), and I think, and as I always said, this is subjective and I can be wrong, that it will be extremelly difficult for Marc to sell this collection. I think that not even a dozen of Victorias' pictures stepping out of boxes and bags will help the thing.
