Primero pensaba que son de Pierre Hardy de la colección de Otoño 2007.

When I saw them I thought they are Pierre Hardy Fall 2007.


Como seguía sin encontrar los peep-toes de esta marca adornados con bolitas, empecé a pensar en otra colección. La de Dior de esta primavera (vistos por ejemplo a Beyoncé).

Since I didn't find the peep-toes adorned with bubbles from this brand, I became thinking about other label and collection. Dior Spring 2008 (spotted on Beyoncé).


Finalmente las encontré por casualidad mientras estaba buscando otra cosa (leyes de Murphy...). No son de Pierre Hardy, ni tampoco son de Dior. Pero igual de ahí viene la inspiración (y mi confusión...). Las maravillas que lució Rihanna en el evento de Premios AMA...

Next Celebrity Club: Dior Deity Heels

A partir de hoy, además de los "celebrity clubs" que ya existen (l@s fieles saben que es mi modo particular de agrupar las celebres fashion queens que se enamoraron de los mismos zapatos, que poseen el mismo bolso, que se dejaron seducir por la misma prenda...), cada semana voy a intentar hablar de una pieza que, aunque aún no tiene su club, algo dentro de mi dice que va a tenerlo.

From now on, on top of those celebrity clubs that already exist (those of you that follow SFQ regularly know this is my own way to talk about famous fashion queens that felt in love with the same pair of shoes, that own the same bag, that were spotted wearing the same outfit...), I'm going to talk about something I foreseen could become celebrity favourite.

Seguro que te fijaste en el calzado de la colección de Dior para el próximo Verano 2009. Y probablemente ya leíste mucho sobre estas joyitas de John Galliano. Algunos las llaman Diosa, otros Diosa de fertilidad, otros Tribal. Igual te preguntaste de donde viene la inspiración. Según una de las grandes amigas del diseñador, Camilla Morton, a John le encanta viajar. Es de donde realmente viene su inspiración y en Navidades el año pasado pasó unos días con una tribu de Masai, viviendo con ellos como parte de la tribu. Sus experiencias han sido reflejadas en su último show. Y también le encanta mezclar y combinar elementos inesperados. Como estos zapatos con el tacón com forma de deidad. John repasó sus propios archivos, incluyendo su primer show de alta costura en 1997 que coincidía con el 50 aniversario de Dior y estaba inspirado en Masai y Belle Epoque. En esa colección había un sombrero de madera, creado por el legendario Stephen Jones, con diosas, diosas de fertilidad, deidades. Y de ahí la inspiración para el tacón. Abstracto, contemporáneo y sexy son las palabras utilizadas por John a la hora de describir su Tribal Chic.

You've most probably seen Dior Spring 2009 collection as well as read about these feet jewels by John Galliano. Some people call them Goddes, another Fertility Goddes, others simply Tribal. Maybe you've been asking yourself where John's inspiration came from. According to one of designer close friends, Camilla Morton, John loves to travel. It's what really inspires him. Last Christmas he spent a few days staying with a Masai tribe, living with them and being part of their tribe. His experiences were heavily reflected in the show. But he also loves to mix and blend elements you wouldn't expect. Like these incredible ‘Deity Heel' shoes. John looked at his own archives, to his very first haute couture show, for the 50th anniversary of the house, when he took the Masai and Belle Epoque. There was a hat, created by the legendary Stephen Jones, that was all carved in wood and had all these goddesses, fertility goddesses, deities. He took this image and reworked it in an abstract way and used this as a new heel. A new platform, a new pedestal for his own deities! Abstract, contemporary, sexy these were the words that John used to describe his Tribal Chic.

Los que la adoran ahora estarán en su salsa. Acaba de lanzar su tercer álbum en solitario y está en plena gira promocional. Mires a donde mires, aparece alguna de sus fotos promocionales, sus instantáneas yendo a un lanzamiento o presentación, imagenes oficiales de los eventos, fotos en revistas de moda hechas por los mejores estilistas y los fotógrafos más cotizados, etcétera, etcétara, etcétera.

Those who love her are oh so happy. She just launched her third solo album and currently doing the promotion. Anywhere you look, there is some new promotional picture, paparazzi photos of her going to a presentation, official images from events, photos from fashion magazines done by the best stylists and photographers and so on and so forth.

Las herramientas de marketing siguen evolucionando y las giras promocionales son cada vez más complejas. Ya no solo es una rueda de prensa, fotos promocionales, visitas de programas de televisión relacionados con música. Hoy en día en una gira promocional encontramos desde "los básicos de siempre" hasta las apariencias más inesperadas en los programas menos esperados. Todo esto entrelazado con lanzamientos y por lo tanto campañas, eventos y demás relacionad@s con sus projectos y marcas personales por un lado, y por otro lo mismo pero vinculado a sus contratos con otras marcas. Salpicado con alguna colaboración con otro artista, si es aplicable, también con algún miembro de la familia, con la ONG del artista en cuestión y puedo seguir... Todo eso perfectamente planificado y organizado hasta el último detalle. Donde hay que acudir y cuando, el vestuario, el guión, el mensaje que hay que transmitir. Todo todito todo, hasta el último guiño está estudiado, analizado, calculado. Con poco o ningún sitio para la improvisación. Me encanta observar las giras promocionales y sus protagonistas pero también me gusta imaginarme como puede ser la estrategia detrás. Y esto segura de que si fuera posible, la familia Knowles ya hubiera recibido algún que otro Premio Effie por sus campañas.

Marketing tools keep evolving and so do the promotional tours that are becoming more and more complex every time. This is no longer only about a press conference, promo pictures or some music TV programs. What we found included in a promotional tour today are from "all time basics" to the appearances in TV programs and shows you would never link to the album in question in a way you would never think about. All this of course hand in hand with launches , campaigns, events and so on related to the celebrity projects and brands on one hand, and celebrity endorsement on the other. All this sprinkled with a colaboration with another artist, a family member if applicable, a Non-Governamental Organization this star is a face or a founder of and I can go on and on... Everything until the last tiny detail is perfectly planned and organized. Timing, places, wardrobe, script, campaign message that has to be delivered. Everything until the very last wink is studied, analyzed and calculated. With little or no place for the improviaation. Love to follow and observe the promotional tours and love to try to imagine the strategy behind. And honestly think if it was possible, Knowles family would have gotten more than one Effie Award for their campaigns.

A lo largo de las últimas semanas hemos visto a la niña en las portadas de Marie Claire, Essence e InStyle, entre otras. De repente la ves en el aeropuerto JFK, y en un abrir y cerrar de ojos ya tenemos las fotos de la presentación de sus creaciones para Samantha Thavasa en Japón. En un instante la ves vestida de House of Deréon en la presentación de la nueva colección, un parpadeo y te encuentras fotos de ella vestida casual en vaqueros y una camiseta con la cara de Barack Obama... En breve la veremos en la pantalla grande en sus dos últimas películas: Cadillac Records y Obsessed... Ya también te puedes comprar camisetas, bolsas, chapas y otro tipo de merchandising con el texto "I Am Fierce"... y ... y ¡esto solamente es el comienzo querid@s! 

Throughout the last weeks we saw the girl on Marie Claire, Essence or InStyle covers, among others. All of a sudden you see her pictures taken at JFK airport, and in a blink you got photos from the presentation of her line of bags for Samantha Thavasa in Japan. You go through your favourite blogs and see her dressed in House of Deréon during the launch of the last collection and a while after dressed casual in jeans and Barack Obama t-shirt... Her two last movies "Cadillac Records" and "Obsessed" are about being released... If you like the idea, you can also buy some "I Am Fierce" merchanising... and this... this is just the beginning my dear!



Papá Mathew Knowles dijo a la prensa que la versión española se lanzará en Febrero y a finales de Marzo empieza la gira mundial. Canadá, Europa, EEUU, Méjico, América Latina, Las Vegas, Japón, Asia y Australia. En total 110 conciertos con el último planificado para finales de Noviembre 2009. Así que tenemos bastante Beyoncé para un año. Los fans aplaudimos con las orejas, los menos o no fans se tendrán que aguantar, aunque muchos, como siempre, se sorprenderán que a pesar de que no les gusta ella o su música, después de todo esta campaña y de tanto oír sus canciones todos los días, se les quedarán pegadas...

Father Knowles told press that a Spanish version of the album will be out in February along with a video anthology. Beyoncé will then launch a world tour in the last week of March. After starting with Canada, she’ll hit Europe, the U.S., Mexico, South America, Las Vegas for one week, Japan, Asia and then Australia, with the tour slated to end next November. 110 concerts in total. The fans are applauding, the non fans will have to live with it and as always, many of them will suprisingly find out that after all the campaign and after having heard the songs so many times, some of the songs have just got under their skin and that not only they know the lyrics , but they even sing them unintentionally...

Este es de momento su último trabajo como modelo. La última vez ha sido hace dos años (la foto a la izquierda). Beyoncé vuelve a protagonizar la portada de Gotham Magazine. Por supuesto con su editorial y entrevista (que no nos revela nada nuevo pues lo mismo ya lo hemos leído en otras publicaciones... y eso, entre otros, eso es a lo que me refiero cuando digo que casi no hay espacio para la improvisación... sale una revista nueva, con un editorial nuevo, con un texto "promocional" que ya se ha visto en otras revistas, blogs fans y no tan fans... y es una pena... no digo que las estrellas deben hablar de su vida privada, pero que se inventen una cosa diferente para cada revista... hay tantísimas posibilidades y opciones... hay tantos temas... tantas herramientas de publicidad convencional y no convencional, tantas relaciones públicas y tan poca imaginación a la hora de preparar los artículos y entrevistas, ¿no te parece?). Dicho esto, la sesión de fotos hecha por Tony Duran, está muy bien.

Of course with the respective editorial and interview (that doesn't reveal anything we wouldn't know or read in another magazine... see, this is what I have in mind, among others, when saying there si almost no space for improvisation... so many possibilities, so many options... so many topics to talk about... so many tools of conventional and non-conventional advertising and PR and so little imagination... when it comes to an article or intrview they are all the same... all alike... don't you think so?). Having said this, I love the editorial by Tony Duran.

Lo interesante es que la "cola" de la chaquetilla te la puedes dejar suelta, como la lleva ella, o recogida, como la luce la modelo. Zapatos estoy segura de que podrás identificarlos inmediatamente. Giuseppe Zanotti, el diseñador preferido de la cantante. Y su bolso tampoco te lo tengo que presentar mucho...

La adoraba en "Melrose Place". Actualmente forma parte de la serie "Gossip Girl". Kelly Rutherford muy glamurosa durante el cóctel de Dior Beauty el pasado miércoles en el Hotel Empire en Nueva York. Si te suena haber visto su vestido anteriormente, además de la pasarela de Dior, puede que lo hayas visto a Kim Cattrall. No tengo nada en contra de zapatos negros pero -una vez más- hubiera elegido otras sandalias. El conjunto no es "compacto". El vestido va por un lado y las sandalias por otro. Pero la sigo queriendo...

I loved her in "Melrose Place". Currently she forms part of "Gossip Girl" show. Kelly Rutherford very glam during the Dior Beauty screening of the show at the Empire Hotel rooftop in New York. If you feel like you've seen this dress already, on top of the Dior runway, maybe you spotted it on Kim Cattrall. Don't have anything against black shoes but -once again- I would pick something different. The look is not "compact". There are two separate things - the dress on one hand and the sandals on the other. But I still love her...

Hoy volveremos al Dior Angel Club pues tiene más socias de lo que parecía. Y no me extraña pues esta joyita -y da igual is en forma de zapato cerrado o sandalia- es una verdadera delicia. Y esta no es una indirecta para mi marido. Es una directa, baby :o)

Today we're going to "visit" the Dior Angel Club again because the family of members is bigger that we thought. No wonder since this jewels -both as pumps or sandals- are really delish. And I'm not dropping a hint here to my husband. This is a direct message, baby :o)
