... de este vestido negro de mi querida Julia Roberts? Así de guapísima acudió al estreno de su película Charlie Wilson's War. La adoro. Cuando estás viendo su película, te parece que actuar no es nada. Es tan natural que nunca piensas en las cámaras que tiene delante, en el montaje, no te das cuenta que se trata de ficción, estás dentro de la peli desde el primer instante y hasta el último minuto. Lo mismo me pasa con Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Sean Connery o Anthony Hopkins. Creo que si me dieran la oportunidad de elegir cual de las actrices quiero conocer personalmente, no dudaría ni un segundo.
... of this LBD of my beloved Julia Roberts? She appeared this stunnig at the world premiere of her Charlie Wilson's War movie. I adore her. When you are watching a movie of hers, you feel like acting is nothing, that is so easy. She's so natural you never think about the cameras she's got in front of her, the set-up, you don't feel it like fiction, your are inside the film since the very first moment and until the last minute. I feel the same when it comes to Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Sean Connery or Anthony Hopkins. I think that if I would be given the opportunity of meeting any actress I choose in person, I wouldn't doubt a second.



En varias fuentes dicen que el vestido es Dolce & Gabbana. Pero como no me acuerdo haberlo visto - o uno similar - en las pasarelas, repasé todos mis archivos y, además de mis fuentes favoritas, visité un mogollón de páginas, pero no encontré la prueba. Si no me equivoco, es el mismo vestido morado que llevó Victoria Beckham en el show de Ellen DeGeneres, y este creía que era de Azzedine Alaïa, uno de los diseñadores preferidos de Victoria. Aún no lo publiqué porque no estaba segura, pues tampoco tengo la prueba... Así que la pregunta es ¿quién es el diseñador de estos vestidos?
Several sources tell the dress is Dolce & Gabbana. But since I didn't remeber seeing it - or a similar one - on the catwalks, I went through all my files and, on top of my favourite sources, I visited loads of sites, but didn't find the proof. If I'm right, is the same dress as the purple one that Victoria Beckham wore for the Ellen DeGeneres Show, and this one I've been thinking was by Azzedine Alaïa, one of Victoria's favourite labels. I didn't publish it until today because I have no proof either... So the question is: Who is the designer of these dresses?

Apenas mide 1,55m, pero es uno de los grandes maestros de moda. Nació en Tunes, pero pasó su vida en Francia (casi no habla inglés, no le gusta viajar en avión y odia salir de Paris...). Después de terminar sus estudios, ha trabajado para Guy Laroche y Thierry Mugler, hasta abrir su propio negocio a principios de los ños 70. A principios de los 80, empezó a vender sus creaciones también en Estados Unidos y a finales de los años ochenta inauguró sus boutiques en Nueva York, Beverly Hills y Paris. Su fuerte son los cortes que quedan perfectamente ajustados al cuerpo de la mujer, como se fuera "la segunda piel". Desde el principio sus colecciones tuvieron mucho éxito y los medios le apodaban "El Rey del ajuste". Y las fashion queens de entonces y de hoy pronuncian su hombre con un respeto tremendo. Tina Turner, Stephanie Seymour, Iman, Grace Jones, Madonna, Naomi Campbell, Victoria Beckham, Nicole Kidman, Katie Holmes y puedo continuar... Desde el 2000 trabajó con Prada y este año ha vuelto a comprar su marca de Prada Group, para continuar su carrera individual (aunque los complementos se siguen desarrollando y produciendo en Prada Group).

About ten years later he started to sell his collections in US as well and end 80's he opened his boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills and Paris. His strong point is the perfect second skin like curves hugging body-fit. Since the beginning his collections had a huge success and the media called him "The King of Cling". And the past and current fashion queens pronnounce his name with a tremendous respect. Tina Turner, Stephanie Seymour, Iman, Grace Jones, Madonna, Naomi Campbell, Victoria Beckham, Katherine Heigl, Nicole Kidman, Katie Holmes and I can continue...






Victoria Beckham en su libro dice, que Azzedine Alaïa es probablemente el mejor en cuanto a los cortes y ajustes de las prendas, para que queden bien a las curvas femeninas. Y la hemos visto con modelitos de Alaïa muchísimas veces. Los lleva tanto a diario, como para eventos de mucha importancia. Incluso para su gran día de llegada a Los Angeles ha elegido un vestido negro de esta marca. Igual ya has visto todos los modelitos (incluyendo la chaqueta negra de pelo) que vienen a continuación, pero igual no sabías que todos eran de este pequeño gran diseñador.

And we saw her with Alaïa models loads of times. She wears them both for working or shopping, as well as for very important events. Even for her big day when her family landed in LA for the first time, she chosen a LBD from this label. Probably you saw all of the outfits (including the black fur jacket) I'm about to show you already, but without knowing they all are by this small big designer.
