Ayer estaba revisando las fotos de MOBO Awards y la que sin duda más destacaba fue Mel B en su vestido con una gran capucha:

I was going through the photos from MOBO Awards yesterday and the one that clearly standed out for me was Mel B in her, as usually, body hugging dress with a huge hood:



No es muy habitual, más bien muy muy raro, ver vestidos con capucha en las carpetas rojas. Una o un par de excepciones al año, como Janet Jackson en su modelito vintage de Azzedine Alaïa en otoño el año pasado o Malinda Williams en su también vintage de Patrick Kelly en Enero.

Not very common, better say is quite rare, to see hoods on red carpets. One or a couple of exceptions every year, like Janet Jackson in her Azzedine Alaïa vintage dress last fall or Malinda Williams in her also vintage by Patick Kelly back in January.

Tanto este vestido, como los que lució en Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party y After Grammy Party, son de la diseñadora neoyorkina Mara Hoffman. Igual te suena haber escuchado su nombre en el contexto con Sexo en Nueva York. Cuando Mara terminó sus estudios en 1998, Patricia Field la llamó para incorpor sus creaciones como parte de vestuario de nuestras cuatro fabulosas.
Both this dress and the ones she wore for Clive Davis Pre-Grammy and After Grammy Parties, are from the New York based designer Mara Hoffman. You've probably heard her name related to Sex and the City. Once Mara finished her studies back in 1998, she was approached by Patricia Field who wanted Mara's creations to be a part of our fab four wardrobe.
