Love her dress: Lady Gaga & Manish Arora Fall 2009

Lady Gaga going out in London. The blonde vampire opted for a dress from Manish Arora Fall 2009 (you'll remember her booties from the same collection). Don't like the combination with mesh tights and sandals but the dress...

... the dress is fabulous. Love, love, love. It looks like made of metallic synthetic leather embelished with crystals of many shapes, sizes and colours. The upper layer reminds me of...

... the Chinese tradition and art of paper cutting.

And the magnificent work of Robert Ryan. When he was asked how much time he spent cutting the dress below (on the picture below you can see it hanging on the left wall of his atelier), he said "three looong days". Unbelievable. An authentic wonder, isn't it?

Love her dress: Katy Perry in The Blonds

I love this sooo much. Katy Perry is one of the singers who love their stage outfits being thematic. The moment you spend with her virtually or even in situ is like the extension of the videoclip. This red sequined lucky number was created for Katy by her (and also my) favourite desginer duo: The Blonds. Tell me, wouldn't you just love to wake up in Vegas? Keep it coming Kitty!

Love her dress: Dita von Teese & Elie Saab Fall 2009

No wonder a lot of us ID-ed the black tailored dress Dita von Teese wore for the Fashion Against AIDS party...

A primera vista.

... as Bidarat from Victoria Beckham collection. The dresses are like two drops of water. On the first sight.

But after a closer look on the HQ pictures you realize that was just a visual illusion. Dita's wool crepe LBD is from his favourite desinger Elie Saab Fall 2009 collection, on the runway presented in B&W.

What I love, on both the black version and the two-tone ones are the topstitched geometrical cuts. And if my beloved Dita would leave those horrible gloves at home and picked a different pair of shoes, this post title would be "Love her look...". Hope to see her in more dresses from this collection. A third one would look lovely on her IMO.
