Gracias a GagaDaily por el editorial de Gaga para la revista NEO2 cuya portada compartí contigo el mes pasado. Tengo que decir que aunque esperaba más cambios de vestuario, tengo que dar mi enhorabuena al equipo detrás de la sesión de fotos.

Me encantan las sandalias de Rihanna. Pierre Hardy, como cada temporada, creó unos cuantos pares que a cualquier shoe lover le encantaría tener en su armario. Las sandalias decoradas con paillettes en múltiples colores que lleva Rihanna están disponibles en dos colores. Todo sería probarlo pero creo que me quedaría con las negras también. ¿Y tú?

Love her sandals. Pierre Hardy, same as every season, has created several pairs any shoe lover would love to have in the closet. Rihanna's platform t-straps embelished with multi-colour paillettes are available in two colours. I think I'd pick the black ones as well. And you?

Beyoncé durante una de sus últimas actuaciones en Las Vegas. La chaqueta que tenía puesta encima de su catsuit es una de las piezas de la colección de Alta Costura de Jean Paul Gaultier Primavera 2009.

Beyoncé during one of her latest performances in Las Vegas. The sleeveless jacket she wore on top of the catsuit is from Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Spring 2009 collection.

Por lo visto esta maravilla que parece hecha de una sofisticada tela de araña adornada con miles de diminutas cuentas, mostacillas y chaquiras es tan frágil que para transportarla es necesario rellenarla para evitar que se doble y pierda su forma. Me da la impresión que no pesa nada pero sería marravilloso poder comprobarlo, ¿no te parece?

Apparently this wonder with complex squiggly macramé and lace effects embelished with thousands of beads that looks like made from a sophisticated spider web, is actually so fragile that for the transportation it's necessary to literally "stuff" it in order to avoid bending the cage and ruining the shape. I have an impression it has to be very light when you have it on but wouldn't it be fantastic to check it personally?

Las últimas semanas han sido frenéticas... Me esperan otras dos semanitas atareadas, así que me imagino que hasta principios de Septiembre SFQ no volverá a su ritmo habitual. Antes de sumergirme en mi siguiente proyecto, un especial para los seguidores de Lady Gaga. Parece que la niña tiene muchos fans entre los lectores de Sxy Fashion Queen pues la gran mayoría de los e-mails que estoy recibiendo son preguntas sobre su estilo (la terremoto rubia (al igual que Beyoncé) está nominada para nada menos que 9 premios de VMA, así que ¡felicidades, Gagaloo!!!). Si la pregunta que me mandaste no está respondida abajo, va a ser porque o bien se trata de un modelito producido por los manitas de Haus of Gaga o porque aún no di con el diseñador (la verdad que gracias a ella y a vuestro interés estoy descubriendo cositas nuevas y muy interesantes).

A: El adorono en realidad son dos piezas. La primera es una especie de gargantilla de cuero con hombreras. Encontré uno prácticamente idéntico, con tachuelas y cadenas doradas, que al parecer pertenecía a Liza Minelli. Por lo visto pesa "un poco" y por 565$ podría ser tuyo a través de Antique Dress (donde encontrarás más "tesoros" que lució Liza Minelli, pero también Whitney Houston o Jennifer Lopez, entre otras). Y la segunda pieza, la gargantilla hecha de metal y "bañada" en con cristales Swarovski, ha sido creada por la diseñadora Betony Vernon para el evento Swarovski Runway Rocks hace un par de años y no está disponible a la venta.

The neckpiece actually is a mix of two separate accessories. The first one is a vintage black leather neckband with shoulder pads studded with silver metal dots, and fully trimmed in front, sides, and partial back with silver metal chains. The one I found for you is almost identical, with golden studs and chains and apparently it belonged to Liza Minelli! According to Antique Dress (where you can also find more memorabilia treasures worn by her and also Whitney Houston or Jennifer Lopez, among others) the piece is quite heavy and for 565$ it can be yours for ever and ever. The second piece is Swarovski crystal encrusted neckbrace created by Betony Vernon for Swarovski Runway Rocks event a couple of years ago and is not available for sale.

... aunque por otro lado Katy Perry, otra de las grandes fans del diseñador, aparece este mes en la revista japonesa Nylon, luciendo un top de la misma colección que tampoco vimos durante la presentación de la colección. En la pasarela prácticamente nunca se presenta todo el desarrollo de cada uno de los estampados de la colección. Así que no pierdas la esperanza. :)

A: Creo que los recogidos y las pelucas están creadas por Haus of Gaga, muchas diseñadas por la cantautora. Incluso ella misma lo comentó en varias entrevistas que con un poco de creatividad y unas extensiones se pueden crear verdaderas maravillas.

I think all the hairpieces, creations, scupltures and wigs are created by Haus of Gaga. Many are designed by Gaga herself. She told press in several interviews that with some hair extensions and a bit of creativity you can do real wonders. So try it and let me know :)

Me encanta cuando el vestuario que eligen las cantantes para sus actuaciones puntuales es temático. El rato que pasas con ellas ya sea virtualmente o incluso presente en el público, es como si fuera una extensión del videoclip. Katy Perry es una de la chicas que lo hace a menudo y bajo mi punto de vista, muy bien. Este vestido que lució durante su actuación en "Today" show está hecho a medida por su (y también mi) dúo favorito: The Blonds. Dime, ¿no te encantaría despertarte en Las Vegas?

I love this sooo much. Katy Perry is one of the singers who love their stage outfits being thematic. The moment you spend with her virtually or even in situ is like the extension of the videoclip. This red sequined lucky number was created for Katy by her (and also my) favourite desginer duo: The Blonds. Tell me, wouldn't you just love to wake up in Vegas? Keep it coming Kitty!

Y aquí la tenemos en Paris, vestida en lo que creo que es una de las creaciones de Sandra Backlund y el tocado de Maison Michel Paris (nombre que seguramente conocerás por su cooperación con Karl Lagerfeld y Chanel), colección Otoño/Invierno 2009. Supongo que a estas alturas ya viste los últimos videos de Lady Gaga y Beyoncé. Dos trabajos muy diferentes con una cosa en común. Ambas lucieron una de las creaciones metálicas vintage de Thierry Mugler.

I believe you've already seen the latest Lady Gaga and Beyoncé videoclips. Two very different works with one thing in common. Both of them rocked one of the metallic vintage creations by Thierry Mugler.

El video de Lady Gaga "Paparazzi" está dirigido por Jonas Åkerlund. Su pareja, B. Åkerlund se acaba de convertir en la primera estilista personal de la cantante. Y por lo que he visto en la mini-película "Paparazzi", ha sido todo un acierto. Y aunque en el video se utilizaron varias prendas vintage del diseñador, el "robot" de Thierry Mugler, según dijo la estilista a la revista Anthem, era su gran sueño para Gaga.

Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" video is directed by Jonas Åkerlund. His wife, B. Åkerlund became the first official stylist of the singer. And after seeing the mini movie "Paparazzi", for me this is a great match. Even though several vintage pieces from Thierry Mugler were used in the video, according to the Anthem Magazine, the very famous Thierry Mugler robot was B. Åkerlund's biggest dream for Gaga.

Esta obra de Thierry no es tan conocida, pero es una pasada. Incluso pensaba que iba a formar parte del vestuario de la gira. En todos estos años que llevo enamoradísima del trabajo de Thierry, solamente la volví a ver en un visual publicitario firmado por el fotógrafo Yves Lavallette (que fotografió ambos milagros metálicos de Thierry).

This Thierry's piece is not as famous as the other one, but I love it even more. I even hoped it would be included to the I am... tour wardrobe. In all these years I've been in love with Thierry's work, I just saw it once, on the advertising visual signed by Yves Lavallette (that photographed both metallic wonders by Thierry).

Su estrella está subiendo como la espuma. Lo que a mí personalmente me gusta de esta terremoto rubia (y cuidado con los chistes que la niña no tiene ni un pelo de tonta) es que es muy creativa. What I personally love is how creative this blonde earthquake is. ¿No te encantaría poder entrar en el showroom de tu diseñador favorito y probarte alguna que otra pieza de las colecciones que solamente puedes ver en las fotos o videos de las pasarela? Sueño con ello. Sueño con poder tocar los tejidos. Ver los cortes. Enterarme de como hicieron las prendas que más me llaman la atención y cuanto tiempo tardaron en hacer cada una de ellas.

Y como soñar es gratis, hoy entré virtualmente al showroom de Manish Arora y me probé estos tres vestidos. Y como un pedazo de vestido tiene que ir acompañado de un gran par de taconazos, elegí no uno, sino directamente tres. Desde arriba y hacía la derecha: plataformas Bionic de la colección Otoño 2009 de Ruthie Davis. Plaformas fucsia de la colección de Roger Vivier Otoño 2009 inspirada en la baraja de cartas. Y las maravillosas peep toes moradas de esta temporada de Cesare Paciotti.

Wouldn't you love visiting your favourite designer's showroom and try on some outfits from all those collections you can only see on pictures or videos from the runway? I dream of it all the time. Dream of touching the fabrics. Observing the cuts. Find out how the pieces that attracted my attention were done and how much time it took to create each of them.

And since the dreams are free, I'll free my dreams. Today I feel like entering Manish Arora showroom and trying some dresses on. And since you shouldn't try such fabulous pieces without a pair of amazing heels, I've chosen three pairs directly. It made me travel in time (lucky me, I'm always traveling...) to Thierry Mugler's Spring/Summer 1997 runway inspired in entomology where I saw the "bug eye" sunglasses for the first time. Love them and would buy them if only they were available.

Ciara está de promoción en Londres. Las fotos son de ayer, antes de entrar a los estudios de la Radio 1 de BBC. Su look aparentemente casual lo completó con dos cosas que me encantan. Aunque por separado.

Hace unas semanas Beyoncé acudió a los Estudios NBC para dar una entrevista y actuar en el programa "Today". Y... me enamoré de su chaqueta de cuero.

Some weeks ago Beyoncé attended "Today" show at NBC Studios to talk about her latest projects and perform one of the songs from her "I am..." album. And... I felt in love with her leather jack.

Estaba buscando una chaquetita rockera de cuero cortita para mí. Para que te hagas una idea, algo como presentaron William Rast o Dsquared2 en sus respectivas colecciones de Otoño 2009.

I've been looking for a cropped studded leather jacket for myself. So you have an idea, something like William Rast or Dsquared2 presented on their respective Fall 2009 runways.

Algo así, pero con más tachuelas, cadenas, colgantes... También esperaba a ver la cole de Rock & Republic de Otoño 2009 que aún no se ha visto... Pero cuando vi la de Sasha Fierce, supe que esa es la que quería. Seguro que sabes de que estoy hablando... Esa sensación de cuando estás buscando "algo" y mientras lo buscas igual ni sabes definirlo del todo, pero en cuanto lo ves, sabes con toda la seguridad del mundo que esto es precisamente lo que tenías en la mente... pues eso es lo que tenía en la mía... dormiría en ella y conociéndome, no me la quitaría hasta que no se deshiciera... La suya debe ser de Deréon. Deduzco por los colgantes en las cremalleras en forma del logo de la marca (pero un buen tiempo me estaba rompiendo la cabeza e intentando encontrarlo, hasta que decidí observar los detalles detenidamente con el fin de encontrar alguna pista). No sé si se trata de algo que ha sido creado exclusivamente para ella o formará parte de alguna acción especial de Deréon en Otoño... pero no descansaré hasta conseguir los detalles :o)

Something like that but with more studs, spikes, chains, pendants... I also wanted to see Rock & Republic collection that was not shared with us so far... But the very moment I spotted Mrs. Fierce, I knew exactly what I wanted. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The feeling you have when you are desperately looking for that "something" you are probably not even able to precisely define but the moment you spot it, you inmediately know this is IT... so this was IT... and if this jacket was mine, I would sleep in it... I believe Bayoncé's studded miracle is by Deréon (I spent hours looking everywhere, asking my friends in NY until I decided maybe I'd find some hints with the help of a magnifying glass... yeap... can call me obsessed if you want...) Studs, spikes, chains, pendants, including Deréon logo... Don't know whether is a one of a kind piece or, same as the hoody featured in her "Irreplaceable" video, we'll see the jacket in some special Fall promotion of the brand... Don't know but won't stop until I get the details :o)

Ayer encontré fotos de Rihanna tomadas mientras estaba comprando en una de sus tiendas favoritas, Intermix. Lo que me llamó la atención era su gargantilla en forma de cocodrilo y su brazalete serpiente.

I found this Rihanna candids yesterday, taken while she was shopping in one of her favorite boutiques - Intermix. What attracted my attention were her crocodile necklace and snake bracelet.

Rihanna me recordó a otra diva. Concretamente la actriz Mejicana María Félix. Famosa, entre otras cosas, por sus mascotas exóticos. Según la leyenda de Cartier, María vino un día a Cartier Boutique en la Rue de la Paix en Paris con sus pequeños cocodrilos para encargar que le hicieran una gargantilla parecida a sus animalitos. Y como era una de las clientas preferidas, por supuesto cumplieron su petición y Gabriel Raton diseñó su joya, cuyas medidas eran idénticas a los tamaños de "los pequeños". La pieza de oro pesa unos 524,9 gramos. Uno de los "bebés" contiene 1.060 esmeraldas y sus ojos son rubíes: El otro lleva nada menos que 1.023 diamantes amarillos y sus ojitos son esmeraldas verdes. Se pueden llevar como collar o separados como broches. Esto en 1975. Actualmente la gargantilla forma parte de la colección de arte de Cartier. She reminded me of another diva. María Félix, the famous Mexican atress. Famous, among others, for adoring unusual pets. According to a Cartier legend, Maria brought a bowl of her pet crocodiles into the Cartier Boutique in Paris on the rue de la Paix and requested a necklace designed to resemble her animals. The baby crocs sat on the jeweler’s workbench and gave inspiration to the “Crocodile Necklace” designed by Gabriel Raton, to exact proportions of course. The two jeweled crocodiles wrap around the neck in a heavy 524.9 grams of gold. One is paved with 1,060 deep green emeralds and ruby eyes and the other with 1,023 yellow diamonds and emerald green eyes. This was back in 1975. What I love, on both the black version and the two-tone ones are the topstitched geometrical cuts. And if my beloved Dita would leave those horrible gloves at home and picked a different pair of shoes, this post title would be "Love her look...". Ya estoy aquí con la respuesta. La que lució el vestido asimétrico de Marc Jacobs además de Victoria (y hablando de ella a ver lo que llevará esta noche en la gala de MET), era la jovencita actriz y modelo Koreana Han Ji-Hye en Diciembre durante los 2008 MBC Drama Awards. Las celebrities de Asia no precisamente es mi punto fuerte. La foto la encontré por pura casualidad y esta era la primera vez que no os di pistas. Ahora igual entiendes el por qué. :o)

The one that wore the Asymmetric Heart dress by Marc Jacobs after Victoria (and talking about her I'm curious about what is she going to wear tonight for the MET ball), was Han Ji-Hye - young Korean actress and model - back in December 2008 for the 2008 MBC Drama Awards. Asian celebrities are not precisely my strongest point. I found the picture while looking for another thing. Pure coincidence and this was the first time I didn't help you with any hints. I think now you know why :o)

Te debo la respuesta a la última pregunta. Habitualmente no tardo tanto... pensaba que, como siempre, habrá más fotos el día siguiente pero hasta hoy ni salieron más fotos ni hemos visto a Cameron Diaz (la respuesta correcta) en el mismo pantalón. Ya llegará nuestro momento. Mientras tanto demos la bienvenida a la nueva socia de Tie Dye Jeans Club: Beyoncé, que si la luz no me engaña, optó por vaqueros de J Brand en el lavado Zombie. Combinó varias tendencias en una: vaqueros desteñidos, rotos y boyfriend jeans, y los combinó con botines de YSL. Si no me equivoco es la primera en llevar los botines en plateado, aunque la fundadora de este club es Tilda Swinton.

Coincidentalmente más o menos al mismo tiempo Mónica Cruz eligió este vestido de la colección Gucci Primavera 2009 para la party de Vanity Fair.

Y solamente un mes después de Emily, salía la portada de Salma Hayek para InStyle. De momento la segunda protagonizada por la maravilla azul. Era muy difícil imaginarme quien será la primera fashion queen en lucir los exquisitos peep-toes Marie Antoinette de Christian Louboutin, si es que llegaríamos a verlos en alguna carpeta roja, y pensaba en los Oscar.

If was very difficult to imagine who's going to be the first fashion queen to walk the red carpet in the exquisite Christian Louboutine Marie Antoinette peep-toes, if any, and I though it could be on the Oscar's red carpet.

No ha sido durante los Oscars, pero la ocasión no ha podido ser más clavada: La noche con mujeres: Celebrando el arte... Y para mí Dita es perfecta para darles la vida a estas pequeñas obras de arte.
